WHAT IS AN “INTERNET-ENHANCED NOVEL”?
An “Internet-enhanced Novel” is a new concept I created. It is a unique and innovative fusion of a traditional print novel with An optional companion website featuring text, images and professional audio recordings.
HOW DOES THIS “INTERNET-ENHANCED NOVEL” WORK?
The print novel alternates on a chapter by chapter basis between the perspectives of four main characters: Katherine, Jayce, Bryan and Faith. Each chapter has a corresponding entry in the online companion. At the end of each chapter you are referred to the appropriate online section. For example, at the end of Chapter One you will see the following:

Each character in the novel has a corresponding online identity:
Katherine’s Photo Journal
Katherine records her innermost thoughts along with corresponding photographs she has taken. She puzzles through her deteriorating relationship with her husband Jayce as well as a risky, secret relationship.
This diary is an ongoing monologue in Jayce’s mind in which he rationalizes his increasingly destructive behaviour while a recurring dream torments him. Available in both text format and as a professional quality audio recording.
Bryan hides behind a pseudonym in his blog to dissect his struggling marriage while battling a temptation he is afraid to indulge.
Faith’s Letters to Her Mother
Faith questions her life choices and her professional decisions in un-mailed letters to the “Runaway Mother” who left her father when Faith was only a year old. Available in both text format and as a professional quality audio recording.
WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS FOR EXPERIENCING THIS MULTI-MEDIA WORK?
There are three ways you can choose to approach “Until the Deep Water Stills – An Internet-enhanced Novel”. Each way is equally enjoyable.
1. Read the print novel on its own as it is fully self-sufficient.
2. Read a chapter of the print novel – Jump to the online companion to read, view or listen to the corresponding entry – Return to the print novel to read the next chapter.
3. Read the print novel in its entirety and then experience the online companion.
WILL I MISS ANYTHING IF I DON’T VIEW THE ONLINE COMPANION?
The online companion expands your experience. You gain a deeper understanding of the characters as they speak directly to you. There are also secondary plot lines in the online companion that do not occur in the print novel.
However, the print novel is fully self-sufficient. You can read and fully enjoy it on its own if you prefer.
DO I NEED SPECIAL SOFTWARE TO VIEW THE ONLINE COMPANION?
No, the online companion is constructed in WordPress blog software which is easily accessible. All you need is a current version of a web browser. For example: Internet Explorer 8 or higher / Mozilla Firefox 3.0.11 or higher.
You will need speakers to listen to the audio recordings. However, these recordings are also posted in text format.
CAN I PREVIEW THE ONLINE COMPANION BEFORE I PURCHASE THE BOOK?
